I watched the movie Country Strong this morning after seeing last week that it was on Sky Movies Premiere, and it saying in the information that Garrett Hedlund was in it. I decided to watch it from Sky Anytime because it was only on the channel at night.

I have to say that this movie was amazing, the story was about Gwyneth Paltrow just getting out of rehab and trying to resurrect he music career was pretty good and she’s a pretty good singer. Only the ending was sad and after what happened just before it was kinda unexpected.

Garrett Hedlund was the reason that I wanted to watch it though and he was an awesome singer! He should definitely do an album! For like the first time ever I’ve seen two movies of his in two weeks, since I watched Friday Night Lights last week with him in. I should try and watch them all. I’ve seen 6 so far, which are: Friday Night Lights, Four Brothers (which also had Mark Wahlberg in <3), Eragon, Georgia Rule, Death Sentence (which also had Kevin Bacon in!) and now Country Strong. I almost watched Tron Legacy, I’ve seen bits but when I recorded it, I had to delete it because there wasn’t enough room on the Sky and it seemed to be repeated a lot. I’ll watch it soon and the others.

Leighton Meester turned out to be a really good singer as well. I mean, she sing that bit on that Cobra Starship song but she was really good in this. 

Ironically the only actual country singer in it, Tim McGraw who was also in Friday Night Lights as Garrett Hedlund’s dad (how weird is that?! lol) didn’t even sing in it, well he sang a song on the end credits but not in the actual movie.

But this movie was awesome and all the songs were amazing along with the story. You should definitely watch it because the IMDb rating does not do it justice, it deserves at least an 8!
